Here’s how you can recession-proof your business.
Is a recession coming? Well, we sure hope not!
Honestly, Christina and I weren’t prepared for the last recession. However, you can be prepared for the next one—we want you to be successful in the way that you define success. Here are five proven tips to help you be successful in any economy:
1. Set up an automated program to keep in touch. Whether it be through physical mail, email, or phone calls, find some kind of automated way to keep in touch with people who know, like, and trust you.
2. Expand your network. If you’re not active on social media, you need to be. Cultivating an online presence is an excellent and easy way to expand and connect. How many friends do you have on Facebook? If you can double that number by posting, you’re expanding your network. People will know and remember you.

3. Stop wasting your money. If something doesn’t work for you, don’t waste your money on it. For example, you might be paying for leads, but if purchasing those leads isn’t bringing you a return, cut it out of your budget.
4. Invest your money. Real estate is a great way to invest your money. If you can’t invest in real estate right now, make sure that you get an IRA or something that is proven to get you a return on your investment. 5. Earn 100% of your commission. There are certain real estate companies that allow agents to earn 100% of their commissions. That means you wouldn’t have to pay high splits or caps—that’ll go a long way.
