We’re excited to introduce the newest member of Pretty Home Realty today.

Hello, everyone! I’m LaRaeia Hittleman, the newest agent of the Calhoun Team of Pretty Home Realty. Today I’d like to help you learn a little bit more about me and what I hope to accomplish with the team.

I’ve been in sales for over 10 years, but I spent the last eight working as a dental assistant. However, I’ve always had an interest in real estate—I grew up watching a lot of HGTV with my mom, and the idea of showing off all these different homes seemed so fun to me. Now that I’m getting a little older, I’m also really wanting the financial freedom that working in real estate can provide. It’s the first step in being able to jump into my own home investments as well. My mom has known the Pretty Home Realty team for a long time, and that’s how I actually got connected with them and ended up as a member.

I love the mentorship aspect that comes with working here; there’s always someone who can walk you through things and help you grow. They show instead of tell, and guide you instead of letting you fend for yourself. In real estate, so many people fail to make it past their first year, but having a mentor makes it far easier to succeed.

“It’s been really good business so far, and I can’t wait to see how things grow in the future.”

I’ve been working here for about three weeks, and I got my real estate license just a week before then. Actually, I was on vacation for one of these weeks, so it’s more like I’ve been here for two. You do learn a bit in class while you’re working toward your license, but it’s more related to laws and guidelines. When it comes to going out and selling a home, though, they didn’t offer much. That’s why the training I’ve received through Pretty Home Realty has been so wonderful. We do meetings through Zoom right now, and the remote training involves scripts and roleplay scenarios that help you learn to think on your feet.

The first week I started, Shawn and Christina brought me along to a home showing to learn some of the ins and outs. I had the opportunity to ask questions, see how they interacted with the client, and gain some insight into how it all works. They started the showing process and slowly eased me in until they let me take the lead, and I think it’s a fantastic way to teach someone. Since I’ve started, I’ve already worked with three clients who have put in offers on properties. It’s been really good business so far, and I can’t wait to see how things grow in the future.

If you’re looking to buy or sell real estate, have any questions, or would like information about the market, feel free to reach out to Pretty Home Realty. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
